Each year, the Vice-Chancellor hosts a program of events specifically for QUT's senior staff group. These include:
- a two day Senior Staff Conference generally held in May
- a series of Vice-Chancellor Forums where international and national speakers are invited to address the SSG on topics of strategic and contextual interest
- presentations by senior QUT people on topics of local or national interest mostly within the tertiary sector
- a Head of School/Portfolio Director development program including an off-site residential, sponsored by the DVC (Academic)
