Each year, the Vice-Chancellor hosts a program of events specifically for QUT's senior staff group. These include:
- a two day Senior Staff Conference held in May 13 - 15
- a series of Vice-Chancellor Forums where international and national speakers are invited to address the SSG on topics of strategic and contextual interest
- presentations by senior QUT people on topics of local or national interest mostly within the tertiary sector
