Women in Leadership consists of programs and activities that enhance the development of academic and professional staff women at near-senior and senior levels at QUT. Activities include:
Quality Women In Leadership Program
The Quality Women In Leadership Program assists women to gain insights into the current priorities and strategic issues within the University and Higher Education Sector, enhance leadership, interpersonal and career development capabilities and build strategic linkages.
The program will be offered every second year and will not be running in 2011.
Target Group: professional staff women (HEW 9 and above) and Women Academics Level B and above
Program Duration: 9 months – one half-day or full-day session per month

Women In Research Program
The Women In Research program is an initiative of the Women in Leadership Committee and consists of a mix of activities to support women at different stages of their research career.
Each year a number of grants are available for women in research. Applications are called mid-year, annually. For further information about Women In Research Grants download the guidelines.
ATN WEXDEV
ATN Women’s Executive Development Program is a career development program designed for near-senior and senior women of five ATN Universities. Each year, QUT nominates two or three academic women to join their ATN counterparts for two development programs in any of the ATN cities.

Clare Burton Memorial Lecture and Scholarship
Since 1999, ATN WEXDEV has combined with the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency and with state women's advisors to host the annual Clare Burton Memorial Lecture in each capital city. The Clare Burton Memorial Lecture and Scholarship commemorate the leading researcher, bureaucrat and academic Dr Clare Burton, a pioneering Australian researcher, activist and practitioner in the field of gender equity who died in 1998. The lectures focus on her specialist field of gender equity.
