Developing our current and future leaders is a key priority for QUT.
The following programs will be offered in 2012 and will provide an opportunity through workshops, networking and reflection for leaders to increase their current capabilities in order to effectively lead and develop themselves and their staff.
Strategic Leadership Program (SLP)
This program has been developed to assist experienced supervisors and managers to enhance their leadership capabilities by building on skills and knowledge and exploring the challenging issues and responsibilities of strategic alignment, leadership, change and performance management. Key learning opportunities include networking with colleagues from across the organisation and working in peer learning groups.
Target Group: professional (HEW 8-10) and academic staff (levels B and above) and research leaders who have staff supervision, leadership responsibilities or need to influence others.
Program Information will be available early 2012. If you have any queries please contact Anne Wood on extension 84102.
Leading Others Program (LOP)
The Leading Others Program is designed for professional (HEW 4-7) and academic staff, relatively new to the role of leadership, to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence in leading others.
The program uses a QUT designed 360 degree multi—rater survey to raise participants’ self awareness of their strengths and areas for leadership development. During the workshops, they will be introduced to various techniques, tools and models to underpin development needs as identified in their survey results.
Program Duration: the program is held for three days over a 5 week period and will be offered 3 times in 2012.
If you have any queries please contact Cassie Roqica on extension 84120.
