Can I take leave to undertake study?

Yes………..

Professional staff undertaking a recognised, approved course of study (through the Study Assistance Scheme) may be granted study leave when all other criteria are met and 50% or more of the course has been completed.

Applications for study leave which require no financial support (other than salary and course fees) are approved by the applicant's faculty/division and do not go to the PDP (PS) Committee. The PDP (PS) Committee does not provide support for staff undertaking study leave.

If the study leave is combined with conference leave, a study tour etc, applications go to the PDP (PS) Committee for support for the period of the leave during which these activities are being undertaken.
