The Head of School or equivalent will determine whether or not the proposed program of activities constituting a PDL-Short program are appropriate.

Process for considering applications

PDL-Short applications are considered at a School level. For information on the process in your local area, consult your Head of School.

Applications for PDL-Short are submitted to the Head of School or equivalent, in accordance with the process established in that School. The Head of School or equivalent may seek advice on the application's merit from staff members within the local area. They will then determine the extent to which the application is to be supported. Where the application involves overseas travel, final approval will be granted by the Executive Dean/Head of Division.

As far as possible, you should time your PDL-Short program so as to disrupt your teaching duties as little as possible. Where possible, you should discuss your application for PDL-Short with your PPR-AS Supervisor, as part of your PPR-AS process.

For further information on PDL-Short programs refer to the policy (MOPP B/12.7).

Payments

Payments for staff on PDL-Short are at the discretion of the Head of School or equivalent.
