Welcome to QUT and congratulations on your appointment to your new role. Some of you may have worked at a university before, while for others, joining a large community like ours will be an entirely new experience.
QUT's orientation process has two components which complement each other to ensure that your induction is comprehensive and helpful: a workplace induction from your local work area (designed & delivered by your Supervisor), and a half-day ‘Welcome to QUT’ orientation (held periodically throughout the year).
The Welcome to QUT orientation program and expo shows you the human face of QUT, with staff from many areas of the University acting as human 'signposts' to help you learn where to access further information and training and how to get things done. The personal interactions that you have during your orientation will form the beginning of your professional network at QUT. I look forward to welcoming you personally to QUT.
