Workforce Planning

The Linked Classification Scheme - Professional Staff facilitates the linking of two (or more) HEW classification levels to meet the strategic and operational needs of an organisational area. Where an area requires the duties and responsibilities of a position to be performed across two (or more) classification levels, the area may consider 'linking' these levels.

The purpose of the scheme is to meet the workforce requirements of organisational areas. Whilst the scheme will also provide staff in linked positions with the opportunity for further development and extended career and salary horizons it is not a process for rewarding individual performance.
