Conference Overview
For the sixth consecutive year, QUT is pleased to host the Universities' HR Benchmarking Conference. The conference aims to connect and inform participants through a program which provides opportunities for networking and discussion on current HR challenges and trends within the Higher Education sector.
This year, the conference will be held in Brisbane at the Brisbane Marriott, on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 October 2009.
This conference is relevant to:
- HR practitioners from the higher education sector
- HR Directors and Senior HR Managers who have significant decision making roles
- HR practitioners in the functions of Workforce Planning, Recruitment, HR Systems, HR Projects and Organisational Development
In 2009, the Universities’ HR Benchmarking Program has attracted 48 universities, of which 38 are Australian and 10 international (New Zealand and South Africa). The outcomes of the program will be featured at the conference.
The objectives of the conference are:
- Reviewing the process and results of the Universities’ HR Benchmarking Program;
- Sharing relevant HR strategic success stories, including workforce management strategies;
- Exploring workforce practices and university specific case studies in workforce planning;
- Learning about best practice in workforce management;
- Providing valuable networking opportunities for HR practitioners.
Join us to review the outcomes of the Universities’ HR Benchmarking Program for 2009 and attend informative sessions by participant institutions which are demonstrating best practice HR management in the sector. Conference places are limited.
