1. Notify Your Supervisor

Notify your supervisor, and seek treatment. You will need a workers compensation medical certificate to claim workers compensation.

2. Contact QUT Rehabilitation Unit

5. Apply for Leave

Apply for leave via StaffConnect if absent from work. You are able to access your leave to cover the time you may be absent form work due to the injury. If WorkCover accepts your claim, your leave will be reversed. Alternatively, if your claim is rejected, the leave status stands.

For staff employed on a casual basis, there is not the option of access to leave while absent from work due to their injury. You will only be paid for the absence from work if the WorkCover claim is accepted. Adjustments to timesheets may be required. Contact your Supervisor for advice.
