Program Description
This session identifies the proper set-up of a workstation to accommodate both the characteristics of the staff member and the tasks they perform. There is also a component to enable staff to modify the lap-top or home-based computer environment to avoid injury in the long-term. Manual handling safety is briefly addressed in conjunction with computer safety.
Important note: Participants are required to complete a brief workbook prior to the training session. The purpose is to provide some basic information to the participants, to identify current practices for discussion, and to halve the time of the session from the previous three hours to one-and-a-half hours.
For training dates for computer safety please phone the Administrative Assistant (Health and Safety) on extension 89271 or visit the Health and Safety Training Calendar.
