Program Description
This session identifies the proper set-up of a workstation to accommodate both the characteristics of the staff member and the tasks they perform. There is also a component to enable staff to modify the lap-top or home-based computer environment to avoid injury in the long-term.
Important note: Participants are required to complete the online Office Safety training session and download and complete a brief workbook prior to the training session. The purpose is to provide some basic information to the participants, to identify current practices for discussion, and to shorten the time of the session.
Please download a copy of the Screen Based Equipment Use Safety workbook and complete it prior to training. Bring it with you when attending training.

Who should attend?
- Professional and Academic staff who use computers, and particularly supervisors of those who use computers for a major component of their work, as well as Workplace Health and Safety Officers and Workplace Health and Safety Representatives.
- Staff who have experienced muscle/joint pain related to computer work are strongly encouraged to attend
