Human Resources Department - Health and Safety Advisory Services offers a range of training programs throughout the year with the aim of providing useful, relevant, health and safety related skills and knowledge to staff, so they can participate more effectively in the "safety culture" of their own work area. These include:
- Health and safety induction
- Online health and safety training modules
- Face-to-face training courses
Short courses and forums are offered to meet identified needs across the University. Wherever practical, competency tests will be applied to all training. For some of the courses there will be minimum participant numbers required. For most of the training there is no charge for attendance however a fee for non-negotiated cancellations may be charged at $50.00 for short courses and $150.00 for WHSO and WHSR courses.
If Forum interest results in greater number, an alternative venue may be organised.
