Human Resources Department - Health and Safety Advisory Services offers a range of training programs throughout the year with the aim of providing useful, relevant, health and safety related skills and knowledge to staff, so they can participate more effectively in the "safety culture" of their own work area. These include:

Short courses and forums are offered to meet identified needs across the University. Wherever practical, competency tests will be applied to all training. For some of the courses there will be minimum participant numbers required. For most of the training there is no charge for attendance however a fee for non-negotiated cancellations may be charged at $50.00 for short courses and $150.00 for WHSO and WHSR courses.

If Forum interest results in greater number, an alternative venue may be organised.

Click here for the proposed 2011 training calendar. Dates are subject to change so check StaffConnect when making a booking.

If your work area has at least eight - ten participants and would like to arrange an in-house session on any particular H&S topic, please contact the section Administrative Officer (HR - Health and Safety Advisory Services) on extension 89271.
