Health and Safety Advisory Services offers a range of training programs throughout the year with the aim of providing useful, relevant, health and safety related skills and knowledge to staff, so they can participate more effectively in the "safety culture" of their own work area.

Short courses and forums are offered to meet identified needs across the University. Wherever practical, competency tests will be applied to all training. As a general rule there should be a minimum of 10 participants at two weeks prior to the date for a course to proceed. There is no charge for attendance however a fee for non-negotiated cancellations may be charged at $50.00 for short courses and $150.00 for WHSO and WHSR courses. Numbers will be limited to fourteen participants. If Forum interest results in greater numbers then an alternative venue may be organised.

If your work area has at least ten participants and would like to arrange an in-house session on any particular H&S topic, please contact Administrative Assistant (Health & Safety) on ext 9271.
